Professor and doctoral supervisor at Nanchang University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also serves as Vice Chairman of Biology Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education for Higher Education Institutions, Co-convener of the 8th Biological Sciences Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, President of the Asia-Pacific Cell Biology Organization, Vice President of the International Union for Cell Biology, Editor-in-Chief of Cell Regeneration, and editorial board member of journals such as Cell Research,, Open Biology, Cell Discovery, Cancer Sciences, and International Journal of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, etc.

The research group employs multidisciplinary approaches including molecular biology, cell biology, and bioinformatics, utilizing organoid technology combined with animal models and omics analyses to investigate the mechanisms underlying adult stem cell self-renewal and differentiation, as well as the pathogenesis and clinical translational potential of related diseases. Also focus on studying the molecular mechanisms and physiological/pathological functions of signaling pathways in regulating cell fate.
