The Gong laboratory focuses on structural biology and drug target discovery. The team systematically investigates the structure and function of key proteins involved in lipid metabolism, aiming to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying lipid homeostasis. Based on structural insights, they explore targeted intervention strategies for related diseases. In parallel, the lab also studies the structural mechanisms of other important drug target proteins to facilitate the development of novel therapeutics.
